This Damascus bread knife is a great addition to your collection. Each blade is made up of three major sections of steel. The primary core that serves as the cutting edge and two outer protective sections help prevent rust build up. Although you should still regularly clean your knives.
The core is made up of 10Cr15CoMoV Powder Steel. This allows for a very consistent edge that is hardened to 58-62 on the Rockwell scale. This hardness range is the sweet spot of Damascus kitchen knives. The edge won’t be too soft or too hard which prevents the edge from chipping or rolling.
The outer steel sections are made up of 33-layers each of 316/316L Stainless Damascus Steel. This makes dealing with corrosive fruits or vegetables easier than with a pure carbon steel blade. The Raindrop Damascus pattern adds an additional aesthetic layer to each knife.
The Bread knife feature Rosewood grips, silver accents, and a brass rivet for additional decorations. The handles are dehorned for comfort and ergonomic for longer term use.
