When I first saw the Xinzuo B32 knives with the G10 handles I knew I had to carry them. I am a wood guy so instead of the G10 handles I asked Xinzuo if they would make them with North American Desert Ironwood handles. They said that the wood is very expensive but if I wanted to have then done, for my own brand they would do it. So this set of fishbone knives with sought-after desert ironwood handles are my first Bamboo Guy knives. You can expect to enjoy them for a long time due to the durability of the handles and the ultra-sharp blade.

Chef’s knife - There are few knives that are quite as important as the Chef’s knife. It fulfils a long list of tasks and if there is only one knife you are purchasing – this should be it. The shape and sharpness of the blade make it well-suited to a range of tasks including slicing fruits and cutting all types of meat, as well as easily and deftly chopping vegetables.

Santoku Knife - Santoku knives are equally well suited to the everyday kitchen. They are perfect for many daily tasks including slicing and dicing vegetables, but also cutting soft fruits. It is beautiful to look at especially with the fishbone pattern.

Utility knife - The Utility Knife shares many of the qualities of our Chef's Knife, but is more suited to smaller food items like shallots, garlic cloves and small vegetables. Its size enables greater precision and control to achieve extremely detailed cutting work.

Sometimes you need a more unique way to store and show off your knives. This Xinzuo Knife Holder combines a traditional knife block and a magnetic knife holder. Instead of using a fully encompassing block, this knife holder uses strong magnets to hold the knives to a slightly slanted open board. A good knife requires a good cutting board. Most people focus on the knife itself but don't realize that their cutting board plays a large role in maintaining that knife. This end-grain walnut cutting board is perfect for use with knives that have very fine edges. These are usually found on Asian knives with edge angles as narrow as 12 to 15 degrees.

End grain cutting boards have vertical grains and are, hands-down, the best option when it comes to wood. They don't show knife marks nearly as much as face and edge grain boards do, and they won’t dull your knives as quickly. But they take more time to produce (making them more expensive).

Since wood is a natural material and is softer than the steel of a knife, all wooden cutting boards need special care in order to ensure it lasts a long time. Using a wooden cutting board cuts down on the wear on a knife. But this means that the knife will generally scratch and cut into the cutting board.

To make sure the board is not damaged too much, buy use, climate and time, it's best to hand wash the entire board in warm soapy water and reapply oil and or wax every 1 to 3 months depending on use and climate. This keeps the board hydrated and resilient. Make sure to wash all the board since the wood needs to swell evenly when exposed to moisture.

This End Grain Walnut board comes with two side grooves that function as handles, so you can easily pick the board up from the countertop. There are also two sides to the board. The flat side, which is used for vegetables and herbs. And the grooved side which is used for meats or other items that produce a lot of liquid. The groove around the edge of the board is there to keep liquids from running off the board.
